Weekly Wrap-Up

A bumper issue of the week’s Wrap-Up – let start off with a great video to get you in the mood. Someone has animated a wise cracking chicken into Karate Kid 2 – it is, in a word, amazingly hilarious.
Players’ Player @ The Griffins Head was run and won on Saturday night. Jack got out to an early lead in the A's (click for final scoreboard) and managed to hold off a fast finishing DB and Goody. Leo easily took out the B's with Yates finishing 2nd. The C's was a closely fought race – Altmann jumped out and then Sime and Mike took the lead, only to be eventually overtaken by Lunny. The D's , Temple and Macca fought it out all night with Temple getting ahead at the end. Palky won the E's with Caldy and Flair putting in a great showing. Hope everyone had fun – was a great night ... Congrats to all the winners. After the count DJ Purge ripped it up on the wheels of steel ... even if he didn’t play Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen.
Saturday’s games saw the first clean sweep for the season with all five teams winning. Only the D’s had a game of any real significance, they needed to win to guarantee their path into the postseason – a loss and a Saints win would mean the D’s would miss the finals. It was exciting – these guys were stoked.
